Real estate tale of two cities

Australia is suffering from a chronic housing shortage, which has always been targeted as a major reason for driving up property prices. According to a leading global investment bank, Australia’s housing shortage is estimated to reach 250,000 dwellings by 2012, which is nine-times the size of the next largest housing gap experienced in the mid-19702. The Sydney Morning Herald published that the national housing shortage can be placed almost entirely to Sydney and Queensland.
